The Mountain bike clubs for the Central West are banding together again to bring you another year of the interclub series.

We're standardising the format a bit more and we've also invited our mates from Western Sydney along for the ride.

After being rained out earlier in the year CTMBC are using their winter round of the 4 seasons as our interclub race. details in the link below

Hassans Walls Plan of Management. Draft Plan of Management now open for pulic comment

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

as per title

I haven't had as chance to read it all yet but a quick skim seems pretty positive

Of what I picked up so far as mountain bikes go
Good points:
They did away with the one way road idea.
Pony express trail to stay
Recreational trail management system recommended

Points of caution:
Rezoning a portion from community use to bushland. I'm not sure what impact that will have, I need to read it closer.

Something a little different for this years epic. I thought why not combine my passions and do the ride into Deep Pass followed by a bit of a walk and perhaps even a swim up the little canyon in Nayook creek.

You'll need to have some walking shoes along with the standard spares/food/water you'd normally take on a big ride. Plus if the weather is favourable some swimmers (or you could skinny dip, whatever tickles your fancy but be prepared for shrinkage, the water is cold. That's my excuse.....)
