The Sheep Station Fiddy K

People keep asking us what other riding is there at Rydal. And we keep saying heaps. But that doesn't seem to pacify them so we thought why not hook up a loop that takes in the usual XC single track and links it up with some of the other cool stuff out there and then bust out a 50km race.

Thus the Sheep Station Fiddy was born.
This year we are introducing the 25km "Middy K" and the 10km "Kiddy K"

Remember when life was simple? Remember when you rode your bike to have a good time?
When you rode because it felt good and the company you rode with and the tracks you rode were more important than all the wank that sometimes comes with big races

Well CTMBC are taking it back.

We're stripping away all the hype and complications and just having fun but why we're at it let's throw in the much alluded sheep station

10:00: rego opens
11.30: rego closes
11.45: rider breifing
12. : race starts

An OMC (Orange Mountain Bike Club) member asked on our face book page if enter on the day is available:

"Forgive ignroance, but the sheep station cup on the 24th of April. Do we need to register beforehand or just turn up and pay on the day? They have some race info here http://ctmbc.net/node/52943
But I wasnt sure about if I need to pay etc in advance"

I'll tell him you probably at least prefer online entry, but in case he can't enter/commit before, does anyone know if he can enter on the day?

And is online entry open yet? Can't see a link above.

I'm really looking forward to this.

The weather forecast suggests rain over the next few days. How will the tracks hold up?

philipm's picture

Last year we had 25ml of rain on the morning of event .we had some tough muddy sections to ride but this year 5ml of rain would make the trails near perfect

Hope every one had a great day, Little bit of adventure out there with arrow mishaps

Huge thanks to Phil for all his work

Was a great turn out, Weather was perfect, Track conditions ideal.
Just seen results and noticed my name where it should not have been. I only did one lap and pulled out so back to the tail of the field for me Flynny. Great work by all involved
