Tour de Range
Yep it's a *hack*spit* roadie event but it's a great day on the bike for a good cause. With the retirement of the Celebrate Lithgow committee we were asked if we could take this event on and keep it going. It's really been Glenn and Robins Partridges project from the start and since they give so much to our club we couldn't say no. To do it we've taken extra coverage with an event affiliation with Cycling Australia.

Tour de Range is an annual charity Ride that raises money for local charities. It starts at the Wallerawang bowling club and follows quiet back roads out through Darkcorner and Sunnycorner, offering great views from the top of the range. All up it is around 90km but as it is out and back you can turn around when ever you like.
The 2014 event takes place on the 16th November

On line entries are available here

Yes the entry system says MTBA and yes we are a mountain bike club but it is a 100% on tarred roads ride backed by Cycling Australia. Sure, if you want to go fat tyres and hairy legs more power to you Laughing out loud

Find the event on facebook or check the website of details.

We also need volunteers for rego and marshalling so if you don't want to ride but can help out please let me or Glen Partridge know.

Got some big sponsors on board too.

Wang Bowls is always a great supporter donating prizes and supplying the venue and entertainment.

Emirates Wolgan Resort. We're raffling off a stay at the resort, every rider gets a ticket with their entry and you can buy more on the day or through the rego system.

Green Grocers. Once again we've got a bike to give away in a number plate draw at the end of the day. You have to be there to win it.

And more from our friends at Ikou, Thales and heaps more I'll add as we go

Hopefully it's working but you should now be able to enter a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, U16, or 1 adult and 3 kids, u16 for $110 all up. That's half price.

Remember kids under 14have to be escorted by a responsible adult at all times.

If you have more kids ( or more mums or dads...) and want a family discount we can arrange it but you need to contact either me or Glenn with the details as the online system only recognized the above

For those of you that are deadly serious about your riding & want to know exactly where the course it is.
leaves Wang Bowling Club onto Pipers flat road left onto John Mackie Drive,
sunny corner road over Garlands Hill to Meadow Flat through Sunny corner turn right onto dark corner left onto West Mitchell Road to Yetholme & return.

This is 90k's. The course will be sign posted & we will have volunteers manning the course & water & fruit stops as well. Also there are sweep riders for anyone that needs a hand.
