The whole Newtons things is back on and while we don't have on road time this year CTMBC has been given the chance to run a DH at the event, which takes place the last weekend of November in Bathurst NSW

Newtons is a 3 day "Action sports and Music festival".

It is based around a World Cup Luge and DH skate boarding round down the infamous Mt Panorama V8 race track.

Anyway below is the press blurb, hope you like the idea

Twenty60 Downhill Offers $5K Prize Purse!

In the past the local Wiradjuri people used Waluu (Mount Panorama) as a vantage point to watch over their fields. This land until now has been a no-go zone, but with the Wiradjuri’s permission, Newton’s is sending a bunch of thrill seeking mountain bikers through it on a wild
downhill run!

The Twenty60 Downhill will see over 200 competitors drop down the back of the mount, and Newton’s believe that to warrant this sort of risk the reward needs to be great. The $5K prize purse places Twenty60 up there with the biggest downhill event in Australia and includes $500
for the fastest seeding run on Saturday and over $2000 first prize.
Many of Australia’s elite riders will compete alongside the next generation of up & coming talent. Here’s your chance to witness Australia’s best battle it out at one of the most exhilarating
competitions of the weekend!
